Anime Taste Testing: Summer 2016
If we’re going by sheer numbers then this season is already far superior to the last for me – which is actually unfortunate, since I’ll soon have to put all anime and other media to one side for a couple of weeks as the time to move country approaches. That said, I’ve managed to get through all the new anime releases that sounded even remotely interesting, so might as well get at least the first of these posts out while I still can. Anime Taste Testing: Spring 2015 (Part II)
There’s a hint of humidity in the air and a bird nest above my aircon unit, and I’ve already had two mukade in my house this season – I guess we must have reached the roughly halfway mark for the spring anime season then. Last time around, I said a relieved goodbye to four titles (Ame-iro Cocoa, Ninja Slayer, Punchline, and Legs! Euphonium), which left me with four others on my scheduled weekly line-up (Ghost in the Shell, Kekkai Sensen, Ore Monogatari!!, and Arslan Senki). Let’s see how they’re faring, shall we? Anime Taste Testing: Spring 2015
The more I think about it, the more it seems fruitless and even slightly ridiculous to compare seasons. You can compare numbers, sure, but in terms of enjoyment, statistics mean absolutely nothing – and unless you’re telling me you tried out every single show of whichever two seasons you’re comparing, these numbers aren’t even accurate to begin with. You can try and compare the highs and/or lows too I suppose, but that’s not exactly what I’d call hard science, especially when you’re only a couple of weeks in.
