By and large, young kids in anime annoy the hell out of me. Dealing with children in the real world? No problem, bring it on. But seeing small children in anime? Ugh, no thank you. No matter how much I like the story, no matter how high the production qualities are, there are always one or two issues, however niggly, that I can address in a review.
